A great night at La Trobe…

Last night was the first session of our face to face weekend at La Trobe, Bundoora as part of “Teaching & Learning in a Virtual Environment”, a unit I am completing as part of my Masters studies. .

What fantastic movie. We saw it in 3D which took the movie to another level I think.

I loved the early forest scenes, they blew me away. Not so sure about how long the fight scenes went for though I know my family thought that was ok too.

A fantastic” put your mind in the glove box” movie. 8/10.

Well that’s another day of study, reading and pondering completed.

I still find it amazing that my new role makes for so much active learning and thought with this unit of study.

The Masters course is a marathon not a sprint!

Exciting times…

Very busy over the past few weeks putting the final touches on the Institues Blended Learning teacher development program.

My Masters (Ed. L&M) has played a big part in its development. It has surprised me at how much I have taken in during my time at La Trobe both in class time and my own reading/research.

Busy times…

I’ve commenced my latest Masters unit this week- Teaching & Learning in a Virtual Environment.

It’s an online unit (there’s a surprise!) which has been good for me to experience what I’m so interested in. To be honest it’s given me pause for thought, the Blended Delivery mix is good but the Elluminate sessions feel a little bland given there is no vision, just voice. If it was my class I’d be a bit disappointed in the final delivery.
