Blogging a go go…

From todays blogging workshop I hope the participants will-

• Have good understanding of what blogging is
• Create a WordPress account and post to it
• Have a better understanding of how blogging may improve their teaching practice

A big session but I hope very enlightening!

A weekend in Melbourne

We had a great weekend at Melbourne (pre-Mothers Day catchup) and a particularly good dinnerat Docklands wharf at a greek restaurant ‘Saganaki’.

RFK- after the event…

Well I finished it, not quite the time I wanted but I’m happy enough.

I finished the run with no injuries, had fun and proved my fitness and my ability to commit.

I’m there next year with hopefully a better time.

Run for the Kids…

Three more sleeps till the big run. I’m excited and nervous with anticipation.

I’m aiming to at least finish and meet last years time- 1:38.

I’ll post some pics of the day.

Ready for my trip to Brissy…

Sitting at Albury airport ready for my flight to Brisbane.

I’m going to a forum to discuss how the sheet metal industry might leverage online learning to fast track their apprentices training.

The week so far…

Working through presentations to management on Blended Learning PD for the teaching staff. So far they’ve been well received.
Now all I have to do is develop the resources & lesson plans to go with it. Yikes!!!

Meeting tommorrow morning to discuss institute wide Twitter strategy- look out, we’ ll have all departments twittering like nobodies business in no time.

I’m booked for a trip to Queensland next week to take part in a forum that’s looking into e-learning for sheet metal apprentices. I’m interested to see what outcomes we reach.
